He Keeps His Promises

When you receive a prophetic word, don't worry about how or when it will manifest. Just trust & know that God keeps His promises.  Yes, believe me I know first hand how difficult and discouraging it can be  to wait on God. This month God has given me an amazing series to teach during bible study about who He is and what He can do in our lives. One of the lessons I taught was about Abraham.  His story reminded me of how we must continue in faith and believe by faith that we will receive the promise.

Now, let's be real, when things take place in our lives and it seems to go against or in the opposite direction of what we are waiting for, that's when our faith is tested.  At times I think to myself, "now how in the world will all of this turn around and end up the way God said it would end up".  I look at it like a movie or TV show.  Have you ever watched something and think you figured out the plot and pretty much know how the story will end?  Then something happens to change everything and there's a surprise ending that you never in a million years would have guessed.

That's our lives!  God is the author of our life's story.  And just when we think we have it all figured out and we think we know the outcome, God says "I have a plan, just trust Me".  We must stop relying on our own knowledge and understanding. Stop trying to figure it all out! Allow God to write your story, I'm sure you'll love His ending better then yours!

Today's Scriptures:

"Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise." (Hebrews 10:23 NLT)

"Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises." (Romans 4:20, 21 NLT)

Today's Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I reverence You now.  Thank You for all that You have done in my life.  Teach me how to trust Your process.  I believe in Your word that tells me that you have a plan for my life that is to bring me good and not harm; to give me a future and a hope.  I thank You in advance for keeping Your promise and allowing me to prosper in all that I do even as my soul prospers.  I give You the glory in advance for bringing it to pass.

In Jesus' name, Amen
