2014 was an amazing year. I was able to get my hands on some great products, some of which I haven't had an opportunity to try before. Based on my experiences and results, these are my five must have products from 2014.
Item No. Five
This lotion is a dream come true for me. As many of you my know, I received this in my monthly subscription box from We Are Onyx and immediately fell in love. It's rich, creamy texture feels great on my skin. It's not heavy or oily which is a huge plus. I now have a travels size for my purse and a larger size for home.
Item No. Four
The style and shine foam from Creme of Nature Foaming Mousse became one of my 2014 favorites because I found myself doing more heatless curl styles. This is great for getting the hair nice and smooth and adding an amazing, natural shine to the hair. It's sure affordable and I love that I don't have to use a lot to get the job done.
Item No. Three
I've heard mixed reviews on the eco styler gel with olive oil but it has been a great part of my journey this past year. Again, with me doing more heatless curl styles, I used this product for hold. Mainly with flex rod sets. This paired with the creme of nature foaming mousse was a match made in heaven for me. This combo will stick with me for 2015.
Item No. Two
What natural doesn't love coconut oil. This has been apart of my regimen for quite some time. This is pretty much available at any grocery store in the cooking oil isle. I normally purchase it at a whole foods store but I have seen this and other brands available at several stores. The thing I love about this oil is that it is light weight, smells great and also is one of few oils that also adds moisture to the hair. So this was great when I needed to add a little more shine and moisture to my hair even while straightened. Honestly, I see this item making my must have lists every year!
Item No. One
Last but not least, my number one must have item is from none other than Cantu. It's the Coconut Curling Cream. If you have been following me on my journey, you know that Cantu has always been apart of my routine; typically the Cantu Shea Better Leave-in. But 2014, this product was my go to for majority of my twist outs, braid outs, etc. It is great for hold and the softness of my hair after using this product was simply amazing. I will continue to use this product in 2015. I have not had any bad experiences with it and my results are always a success.
Have you tried any of these products? What where your favorite products from 2014?
